Jamila Jones
My name is Jamila Jones and I am an 18 year old freshman at the University of Cincinnati College of Design, Art, Architecture and Planning, majoring in Fashion Design. I was born in Dayton, Ohio to Craig and Lafondra Jones, and graduated from Stivers School for the Arts with a 3.86, majoring in Visual Arts. I also played on the high school tennis team, travelled to London, Italy, and Spain, was a cheerleading and wrestling manager and was in the National Honor Society and Spanish Honor Society.   

My love for fashion began at a young age styling my Barbie dolls, cutting up and recreating my own clothes and drawing outfits with crayon on newspaper. I enjoy working with beautiful fabrics and using vibrant color palettes and finding patterns that compliment women’s bodies. My pieces show femininity and styles for vibrant women that love expressing themselves through fashion. I love studying and collecting magazines, drawing, sewing, printmaking, and shopping. In high school I won superlative “Best Dressed”, and I’m a perfectionist at fit and combining different colors and patterns in my personal style and designs.
